Dave (being an accomplished musician) and I (being neither a musician nor accomplished) ended up at the Playboy Jazz Festval in the Hollywood Bowl one year where we saw/heard the legendary jazz trumpeter Miles Davis. Towards the end of the concert Dave says "That was awesome! We should do this every year." And thus began a tradition of 30 plus consecutive years of spending an entire weekend at the Playboy Jazz Festival in the Hollywood Bowl. I’ve got all the programs from those concerts and look through them and reminisce about all the great Jazz and Blues legends we were fortunate to see and enjoy for so many years. Time may pass but my memories of having a friend like Dave will forever live on. Happy Trails my friend.......... until we meet again.
